Dear F-1 OPTer,

With the holiday season upon us, this is a friendly reminder to check the validity of the travel signature on your latest I-20. Please note that travel signatures are only valid for 6 months on OPT.

If you will be traveling and need an updated signature, please stop by OISSS during business hours with your I-20 or request a new I-20 here.

When traveling on OPT, we recommend that you have with you:

• Valid passport
• Valid F-1 visa (unless you are a Canadian citizen)
• Valid EAD card
• I-20 with travel signature signed by OISSS within 6 months of your return date
• Evidence of your employment (i.e. offer letter, pay stubs, letter from your supervisor)

Also make sure that your employment info is up-to-date in the SEVP Portal. Please let me know if you have any questions!
