Office of Global Engagement
International Students and Scholars

About

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS) serves as a resource to admitted international students, faculty and researchers and their families as well as academic departments, and other administrative offices on and off campus.

The mission of the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is to support the University’s internationalization and to facilitate the integration of international students and scholars into the Brown community. ISSS provides advising services on immigration and visa matters, employment authorization, orientation, cultural adjustment, personal concerns, and ore. ISSS also supports and collaborates with academic departments and hiring units, and manages all immigration-related processes relating to the visa sponsorship of non-immigrant faculty, visiting scholars, researchers, and other staff.

ISSS is a unit under the Office of Global Engagement (OGE), led by Associate Provost Asabe Poloma.
