Important Announcement: STEM OPT Extension Administrative Fee Effective July 1, 2025

Announcements from the OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENT & SCHOLAR SERVICES (OISSS)

Effective July 1st 2025, a non-refundable application fee of $310 will be required when applicants apply for STEM OPT Extension. This fee will support OISSS with services related to maintenance and reporting requirements of applicants’ F-1 status throughout their OPT STEM Extension employment period. Applicants will be asked to submit the payment online and upload a paid fee receipt as part of their STEM OPT Extension request in the OISSS Gateway. More information on how to submit payment as well as a link to the payment portal will be provided to eligible applicants at the time of their request. Applications that are submitted without the paid fee will be considered incomplete.
